Kevin Hanson is a former practicing lawyer and has an especially strong knowledge of the legal profession and of the natural resource, manufacturing and construction sectors.

He served as communications director at a major forest-industry association before launching his consulting career in 1999. After working with one of Canada's leading public relations agencies, he established his independent consulting practice in 2004.

Kevin has a substantive understanding of operational realities within the sectors in which he works, and of the status and implications of relevant political and regulatory issues.

While offering a breadth of services, Kevin has particular expertise in the area of organizational accountability and performance reporting. This includes strong capacities relating to corporate social responsibility reporting, and a knowledge of established and emerging best practices, stakeholder expectations, and standards.

Kevin is a graduate of Carleton's University School of Journalism (high honours) and of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, and actively pursues ongoing professional development. He is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and of the Professional Independent Communicators network.
